We celebrated
our 25th wedding anniversary with the release of DE COLORES, dedicated
to my wife, Luz Marina, with our daughters, Luzma and Michelle, singing
my compositions as well as world favorites La Paloma and DE COLORES. Several
songs were dedicated to my wife through our wonderful years together,
now for the first time recorded with the original words written for her.
Others were dedicated to friends, lands of the harps or just imaginary
romantic scenarios some in English and others in Spanish: Waiting, Si
quedara sin ti (If I Ever Lost You), Nuestros Sueños (Our Dreams),
You Were a Dream, Danzón a Veracruz, El Susurro de la brisa (The
Murmur of the Breeze), Mariposa blanca (White Butterfly), Villavicencio,
Habanera Gris (Gray Habanera), Te regalo la luna (I Give You the Moon).
Two instrumentals included in this recording are Waltz for a Birth, which
I originally improvised in the delivery room during Michelle's birth,
now playing with her as a harp and violin duo, and Iguazu, harp solo dedicated
to the marvelous waterfalls in the jungle of South America.
